God speaks to us in His Word. He has things to say to us. Do I access this vital resource only on Sunday or when I have an extreme crisis? Or do I daily turn to His word to see the wisdom that awaits me there? Theology is practical. It speaks to the issues of daily life. It impacts every part of my life.

That’s a good thing because COVID-19 is trying my patience. Like the pieces of the puzzle in the picture. I wonder how all the pieces of my life will fit back together when I lead a more normal (if there will ever be such a thing) life. I won’t be able to figure how the separate parts make a whole, but Jesus will. He’s already given me everything I need to live before, now in this COVID chaos and in the future.

His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and excellence (2 Peter 1:3).

God has given everything I need in his word to live the faithful life he has called me to – even in the midst of this mess. My part is to read it and let the Holy Spirit do his job.

Praying for us all to endure. To thrive and flourish. To rejoice.

You are loved
