I have been reading through Revelation for I don’t know how many times, but every time I do and this time is no exception, it’s like the first time. Not that I don’t remember what I have understood about it before, but I am filled with the same wonder and awe and sadness and joy that I was the first time. It is such a daunting book, but one with a blessing attached to it so I read it frequently.
It is also a fascinating book. All a church has to do to fill its pews is to announce a series on Revelation.
We all want to know the future. We all want to know what the signs and symbols represent. We all want to know when the rapture is or is there one? When will the antichrist appear and who in the world will he be? Are there really locust and is there really a 200 million person army in the future?
Wish I had the answer to all of those questions.
I just know one thing for sure.
Jesus is coming back!
He said he would be coming on the clouds. It think about that every time I look at them.
“And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book” (Revelation 22:7).
Are you ready? Do you know Jesus as the Lamb of God, the perfect sacrifice for our sins?
If not repent and believe he is who he says he is and that he can and will save you from the wrath of God.
Cry out to him for mercy and grace.
He will hear you.
Don’t try to read Revelation until you do. It will be too horrifying.
Remember, you are loved.
