Sinful, rebellious, unholy
No way, no bridge, no lifesaver, no works, no good deeds
will get us from unholy to holy
We are dead in our living graves.
But God
Sent Jesus
Fully God and fully Man
Perfect, righteous, holy, obedient
Dying
On the cross
Baring our sins in His body
Becoming our bloody sacrifice
Absorbing the wrath of God
For His people
God Resurrected
Now, Jesus walks by our living graves and says,
“Live!”
And we come out
A new creation
Rescued by Jesus
Granted faith, repentance, eternal life
His perfect, righteous, holy, obedient life
Credited to us!
